Badminton
The WashU badminton club competed at the Hawk Badminton Open on Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2, in Iowa City, Iowa. In singles action, Siyuan An finished in the men's singles A semifinal while Karl Kong finished in the men's singles C quarterfinals. In doubles play, Siyuan An and Yatian Li finished as runner-up in mixed doubles A while Aaron Sun and Reina Yu finished in the mixed doubles A quarterfinals. Also in doubles play, Aaron Sun and Karl Kong finished in the men's doubles A quarterfinal.
Men's Water Polo
The men's water polo club competed in the Notre Dame invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9, in South Bend, Ind. The Bears went 2-2 in the tournament with wins over Southern Illinois University (16-5) and Monmouth College (14-7) while falling to Notre Dame A (17-7) and Notre Dame Alumni (11-10).
Triathlon
The WashU triathlon had members competing in the GO! St. Louis Marathon on Sunday, April 9. The team of Sam Cohen, Michael Kramer, Summer Elias and Claeb Wolters had the third-fastest overall relay time among marathon relay participants.
Crew
The WashU crew club competed at the Southern Intercollegiate rowing Association regatta Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, in Oak Ridge Tenn. WashU's weekend was highlighted by a win in the women's pairs by Liz Obeidat and Catherine Tiffany. Obeidat and Tiffany beat out seven other programs, several of which were Division I schools. Another highlight was a strong c-final win by the men's eight to finish 13th in a tough 27-team field. WashU also had boats competing in the men's novice 8 and the women's novice 4.
Tennis
The WashU tennis club competed at the USTA Tennis on Campus National Championships Thursday through Saturday, April 13-15, in Orlando, Fla. WashU went 5-2 in the tournament, finishing 21st overall — the highest finish of a program from a Division III school. The Bears picked up wins over Rutgers (30-9), DePaul (29-19), Southern California (25-17), Iowa (24-18) and Gonzaga (24-21) while suffering losses to Florida (27-13) and UC-Davis (26-23). Competing for WashU were Jenna Brambora, Sam Cohen, Luke Foreman, Mackenzie Phillips, Alex Qin, Kelly Reger, and Christina Zhou.
Women's Volleyball
The WashU women's volleyball club competed in the National Club Volleyball Federation National Championships Friday through Sunday, April 13-15 in Kansas City, Mo., finishing in a tie for 17th in the 36-team Division IAAA field. WashU went 1-2 in the opening pool play with a win over Western Michigan (25-17-23-25, 15-11) and losses to Dartmouth (25-22, 25-19) and Oklahoma (25-12, 25-19), before falling to North Dakota State (25-16, 25-23) in crossover play. The Bears rebounded with wins over Rochester Institute of Technology (25-21, 25-14) and Wisconsin-Milwaukee (22-25, 25-23, 15-4) to win their second round of pool play. WashU opened bracket play with a 25-18, 25-22 win over Missouri State before falling to Sam Houston State (25-18, 21-25, 15-8) in a three-set elimination match.
Men's Ultimate
The Men's ultimate club, "Contra" competed in the Ozark Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday, Apirl 15-16 in Manhattan, Kan., finishing in third place an qualifying for a spot in the South Central Regionals. Contra went 6-2 on the weekend with wins over Kansas, Saint Louis University, Missouri, Central Arkansas, Arkansas and the WashU B team. Both of Contra's losses were to Oklahoma.
Women's Ultimate
The women's ultimate club "WUWU" sent two teams to Sectionals on Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16 in Lawrence, Kan. WUWU's A squad "Iron Horse" went 4-2 over the weekend and finished in third place. Iron Horse picked up wins over Oklahoma (12-7), Missouri (13-2), and Arkansas (9-7, 11-4) while suffering a pair of losses to Missouri State (10-8, 10-8). The WUWU B squad "Locamotive" went 1-5 in the tournament with the lone win coming over Kansas B (10-6).
Men's Lacrosse
The men's lacrosse club suffered a tough 8-7 loss to crosstown rival Saint Louis University on Wednesday, April 18, at South Campus Field. Hayden von Hoffman led WashU with four goals and one assist while Ed Larkin finished with two goals and Charlied Boddell chipped in a goal. Jackson Keleeman made 14 saves for WashU.
