Figure Skating

The WashU figure skating club finished sixth overall at Skate on Wisconsin March 10-11 in Madison, Wisc. The finish helped WashU finishe the 2017-18 season ranked fourth out of 23 teams in the midwest region to qualify for a spot in the 2018 US Intercollegiate Figure Skating National Championships.

Triathlon

The WashU triathlon club finished fifth out of 14 teams in its conference and was the private university in Division III conference champions for the first time ever.

Baseball

The WashU baseball club traveled to Milwaukee, Wisc., March 24-25 for a three-game sweep of Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Bears won by scores of 13-3, 13-4 and 10-4. Will Muir led the WashU offense, going 7-for-11 with 13 total bases. Jacob Weinstein, Pete Koulogeorge and Ryan Corona had strong performances on the mound.

Tennis

The tennis club finished 24th iout of 48 teams at the 2018 USTA Tennis on Campus Spring National Invitational March 23-25 at thein Suprise, Ariz. The Bears opened the tournament by going 1-2 in pool play with a win over WUC Riverside (30-17) and close losses to Illinois (24-21) and Portland (24-22). WashU opened play in the Silver Bracket with a 28-19 loss to Stony Brook followed by a 20-10 loss to Grand Canyon and a 26-23 loss to Winona State. WashU finished two brackets better than last year and improved its overall placement by close to 10 spots. Most of the Bears' losses came by less than 4 games. On a team with only three women, Julia Veitinger stepped up and played both women's and mixed doubles in all but one match. Sydney Trevenen also played six grueling singles sets in the heat. Men's doubles, played primarily by Josh Schuftan and Henry Morris, was a strength for the Bears, going undefeated throughout all matches. Josh Schuftan captained the team.

Womens' Ultimate

The WashU women's ultimate club (WUWU), competed at the Centex tournament March 24-25 in Austin, Texas. WUWU's A squad "Iron Horse" had a solid weekend, finishing seventh overall in the tournament with wins over Iowa State, Northwestern and Georgia Tech.

Gymnastics

The gymnastics club competed at Midwest Regionals March 24 in Madison, Wisc.

Michael Shearer: 6.2 on bars, 7.4 on beam, 7.4 on floor, and 8.0 on vault (max score of 10)
Jordan Sligar: 7.2 on bars, 7.75 on floor, and 8.45 on vault (max score of 10)
Andrea Zuzarte: 7.1 on bars, 6.85 on beam, and 8.0 on floor (max score of 10)
Allison Weske: 12.1 on floor, 7.9 on rings, 11.3 on vault, and 7.0 on high bar (max score varies)

Golf

The WashU golf club competed in the Regional Tournament March 24-25 at the Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Ill. The Bears finished in fifth place led by Ilan Szulik, who shot a 77-79 and finished in sixth-place individually.
